Since 1996, <\/span>DKR was a pioneer in the design<\/b>, <\/span>realisation <\/b>e <\/span>installation<\/b> of these structures. In cooperation with public administrations, companies and waterworks, DKR has transformed traditional public fountains into modern <\/span>Water Houses<\/span>. This commitment has encouraged the use of public water, bringing benefits to those who consume it, to the community, and to the environment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite the numerous advantages, the implementation of <\/span>Water Houses<\/span> can present some challenges.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It must indeed ensure that they are regularly checked and maintained to guarantee that the water supplied is safe and of high quality. These facilities, often owned by local authorities or water companies, require that <\/span>maintenance and chemical and bacteriological analyses are scheduled according to the HACCP protocol<\/b> (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point). This protocol, drawn up before opening, establishes the frequency of the necessary controls.<\/span><\/p>\n

Water Quality Controls<\/span>\u00a0ensure the safety and reliability of the service provided.<\/span> In addition, the owner of the <\/span>Water House<\/span> must designate a qualified Food Business Operator (FBO) to verify compliance with the HACCP programme and check the results of analyses. ASLs include the <\/span>Water Houses<\/span> in their control analysis programme, applying <\/span>safety protocols in case of anomalies,<\/b> which may provide for recalls or, in serious cases, suspension of disbursement.<\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore, it is essential to promote the use of Water Houses through awareness campaigns that inform citizens about the benefits and importance of reducing plastic use.<\/span><\/p>\n

Successful examples<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In many Italian cities, the Water House has already proven its worth. In Moncalieri, a municipality in the province of Turin, DKR, in collaboration with SMAT Spa, has installed numerous Water Points throughout the territory, making it one of the Italian municipalities with the highest number of Water Houses, immediately after major cities like Turin, Milan, and Rome.<\/span><\/p>\n

This example follows the experience of other councils that have worked with us, such as <\/span>Gonzaga<\/span><\/a>, Venice and Spoleto, and soon also Salsomaggiore Terme. Also in other European cities, such as Paris where we are in charge of the renovation of such structures, similar initiatives have been successful, proving that the <\/span>Water House<\/span> It is a viable and internationally advantageous solution. These installations not only provide sustainable access to drinking water but also promote a culture of environmental responsibility among citizens.<\/span><\/p>\n

The future of the Water House<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Looking to the future, the <\/span>Water House<\/span> it has the potential to expand further and become a key component of urban sustainability strategies. With the increasing urban population and growing pressure on natural resources, solutions like these will be essential for ensuring a sustainable future.<\/span><\/p>\n
